Why look at the price per kilogram rather than the pack price when buying dog products?
A bigger pack is usually cheaper per kilogram, but not always. The price per kilogram lets you compare pack sizes and shops directly.
Can I buy dog products on zoogidas.lt?
No. zoogidas.lt only compares prices. The shop link takes you to the shop's own website, where you place and pay for the order.
How often are dog product prices updated on zoogidas.lt?
We collect the shops' prices about every day. Each product shows when its price was last checked.
Where can I see how a dog product's price has changed?
The product page shows its price history, so you can see whether the current price is lower or higher than usual. That helps you decide whether to buy now or wait for a discount.
Why might a dog product's price in the shop differ from the one shown on zoogidas.lt?
We collect prices about once a day, while shops can change them at any time. Each product shows when its price was last checked, and you will always see the final price in the shop's basket.
What should I consider when comparing dog product prices across online shops?
Besides the product price, look at the delivery cost, the free-delivery threshold and the delivery time. Sometimes a slightly pricier product with free delivery ends up costing less.
Is it worth ordering all my dog supplies from one shop?
Combining an order often gets you over the free-delivery threshold and you pay for only one shipment. Still, compare expensive or frequently bought items such as food separately, because the difference over a year can be large.
When are dog products usually cheaper?
Discounts are more common during big sales and at the end of a season, for example winter clothing in spring. Watching the price history shows you what price is normal for a given product, so you can spot a genuine discount.
Is it worth stocking up on dog products when they are on sale?
Yes, if the product keeps for a long time and you will definitely use it: food, poop bags, shampoo. For food, check the best-before date and whether you can use up an opened pack before it loses its freshness.
Can I return a dog product bought online if it doesn't fit or suit?
Under EU consumer rules, goods bought online can usually be returned within 14 days, but opened food and hygiene products may be exceptions. Read the specific shop's return policy before you buy.
How do I choose the right size when buying dog products online?
Measure your dog before ordering: neck and chest girth, back length and, for a bed, how much space it takes lying stretched out. Compare the measurements with the maker's size chart rather than the breed name, because dogs of the same breed vary a lot.
Is a more expensive dog product always better?
Not always. The price often reflects the brand and packaging, not just quality. Compare what really matters: the food's ingredients, how durable the materials are, the stitching, the size and reviews on how long the product lasts.
How do I compare prices of dog shampoos or other grooming products in different sizes?
Work out the price per litre for liquids and per kilogram for solid or loose products. That way you can see whether a bigger bottle is really cheaper and compare offers from different shops fairly.
Is it safe to buy dog products from little-known online shops?
Check that the shop lists its company details, contacts, return policy and a secure payment method. If the price is suspiciously low and there is no information about the seller, choose another shop.
What should I check when my dog food or treats order arrives?
Check that the packaging is intact and sealed and that the best-before date has not passed. If a bag is punctured, a can is bulging or the food smells odd, don't feed it to your dog: take a photo and contact the shop.
How can I save money when buying things for my dog?
Compare prices per kilogram, buy larger packs of what your dog really uses and combine orders to reach the free-delivery threshold. Choose durable products: a cheap toy or leash that soon breaks costs more in the long run.
How much money does it take to keep a dog each month?
It depends heavily on the dog's size, food, grooming and health. Food is usually the largest regular cost, so work out how many kilograms your dog eats a month and multiply by the price per kilogram, then add parasite prevention, treats and vet visits.
Which costs of keeping a dog are the biggest?
Food is the biggest ongoing cost, especially for large dogs. Less frequent but large expenses are vet care, vaccinations, grooming and the first month's purchases: bed, crate, leash and bowls.
Does a small dog cost less to keep than a large one?
Usually yes: a small dog eats far less food, and its bed, crate or clothes are cheaper. Still, some small breeds need costly care, such as regular grooming or dental care.
What is worth spending more on, and where can I save, when buying dog products?
Don't skimp on food quality, safety gear (collar, harness, leash) or a bed of the right size. You can save on toys, bowls and accessories, where simple products often do the same job.
