Frequently asked questions
- Is zoogidas.lt an online shop?
- No. zoogidas.lt sells nothing and takes no orders — it only compares prices. Once you have picked a product, you buy it on the shop's own website.
- Where do the prices come from?
- Shops can submit their own product feed (XML), which we import directly — the most accurate method. When no feed is available, prices are read automatically from the public product pages of 39 online pet shops. Nothing is entered by hand, and no shop pays for placement in any listing.
- How often are prices updated?
- Each shop is recrawled on its own schedule, usually daily. Every product page shows the timestamp of the price observation it was built from.
- Why do most products show a price from only one shop?
- Products are matched across shops by their EAN barcode. Not every shop publishes one, so only part of the catalogue has a multi-shop price table; the rest show a single shop's offer plus that product's price history.
- Do you show ratings, reviews or recommendations?
- No. We do not collect or compute star scores, reviews or editorial verdicts — not on any page and not in any structured data. Products are only ever ranked by price.
- Will the price I see really be the price at the shop?
- Usually, but prices are scraped automatically and can lag or differ from the final checkout price. The shop's own page is always authoritative.
