Why it is dangerous for dogs
Grapes can cause sudden kidney damage in dogs. Which substance in grapes is responsible is not fully known, so every kind is dangerous: green and red, with or without seeds, as well as raisins and grape juice.
How much it takes to cause harm varies a great deal and cannot be judged at home: a small amount can harm one dog. The first signs can appear within hours, while kidney damage shows only later.
Contact a vet or an emergency clinic now, even if your dog seems well. Tell them what was eaten and when.
